Overcoming Addiction * Lesson 4 * Conclusion
 Lesson 4 - Conclusion

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

We will be rewarded for just believing in the Almighty. We cannot allow our faith to grow stale or stagnant. It is impossible to please Him without faith. So once again we see why we cannot have a god of our own understanding—if we do, then we are not using faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. It isn’t something that we can come up with on our own, and faith of our own understanding is not pleasing God, but self. Remember this—faith is like calories, you can’t see them while you eat them, but you can definitely see their results.

The last three principles develop the middle part of our foundation for our walk in Christ. These principles are not just limited to people with life-controlling problems, they are for anyone who desires a closer walk with the LORD.

The awesome thing about these truths is that anyone who comes to the LORD with these attributes within him will complete these principles, whether he is by grace trying to recover and be redeemed in his life or just trying to draw closer to the LORD because he loves Him. The power of His Word and the healing truths within its pages promises every individual who diligently seeks after Him will find Him, and He will heal him. We have His Word on it! (Job 5:17-18; Proverbs 8:17; Isaiah 57:18-19; Jeremiah 17:14, 29:13)

Remember - I can “Trust” GOD!!
By trusting Him, I show the reality of my faith
